Colston Tower Tea Towel

Designed in 1961 the Colston Tower in the centre of Bristol was not completed until 1973. The 18 floor, 205ft tower sits on a podium designed to maintain the building line of Colston Avenue and respect the classical facade of St. Mary's Church. It was once described as a kind of giant bookend stopping the Centre from bleeding away into Broadmead."
